Social Media Lead for a 3-month maternity cover, building and executing social media strategy for a major technology client, focused on brand advocacy, community building, and impactful engagement across channels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, refine, and execute social media strategy including always-on content, campaigns, employee advocacy, and influencer programs.
  • Serve as trusted counsel for internal and external stakeholders on social amplification and plans.
  • Lead content development, curation, and publishing for social calendars, including editorial planning and copywriting.
  • Ensure social activities are market-fit, capture local nuances, and preserve brand integrity across all deliverables.
  • Review content performance, share best practices, and monitor competitive intelligence.
  • Lead performance audits and provide strategic direction for social engagement in India.
  • Monitor trends, social listening insights, and platform updates to remain ahead of the curve.
  • Manage reporting, performance tracking, and optimization to drive measurable results.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years in tech, marketing or related industry with proven track record in social media strategy and management
  • Strong understanding of social platforms and audience behaviour
  • Strategic and creative thinker with experience developing and executing social strategies that drive engagement and growth
  • Data-driven mindset with ability to analyze metrics and turn insights into actionable plans
  • Proven ability to positively influence stakeholders and galvanize them on the social agenda
  • Solid project management experience with strong attention to detail
  • Experience with social media publishing tools including Sprinklr, Buffer, Hootsuite, and Sprout Social
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop
  • B2B/technology space background preferred
  • Proficiency with analytics platforms such as Google Analytics and Meta Business Suite
  • Exceptional verbal and written English communication and presentation skills; ideally fluent in another Asian language
