Summer internship opportunity at Cal Farley’s Boys Ranch to gain practical experience in strategic communications, digital marketing, and faith-based storytelling by creating a social media strategy to boost program awareness.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
- Audit current social media platforms to evaluate visibility and messaging.
- Develop a social media strategy for Boys Ranch programs, including goals, target audiences, content themes, and platform recommendations.
- Create a content calendar and draft ready-to-post content such as posts, captions, stories, reels, short-form videos, and basic graphics.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure messaging accuracy, respect, and alignment with the mission.
- Support publishing and campaign execution in line with posting schedules and engagement guidelines.
- Track basic performance metrics like reach, engagement, clicks, and inquiries, and compile summaries.
- Offer suggestions for enhancing future social media and marketing initiatives.
- Contribute to additional Marketing & Communications projects as needed.
Qualifications
- Enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Marketing, Communications, Media, or related field from an accredited university.
- Proficient in written communication, organization, and creativity.
- Knowledge of major social media platforms and content trends.
- Prior experience in social media planning, scheduling, or content creation preferred.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Passion for nonprofit communications and mission-driven storytelling.
- At least 18 years of age.
