Elevation Pictures, a premier Canadian distributor and producer of independent films, seeks an enthusiastic marketing assistant to support its vibrant team in promoting cinematic releases and engaging audiences in the entertainment sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop in-depth knowledge of film release strategies and Canadian marketing dynamics, focusing on target audiences and outreach methods.
- Track social and industry trends to shape campaign tactics and content creation.
- Collaborate with the design agency to produce localized marketing assets such as trailers, posters, social media graphics, and digital banners.
- Support the planning, execution, and evaluation of media campaigns alongside the marketing agency.
- Manage updates to the company website and social media platforms as required.
- Work with the Deliveries team to facilitate prompt distribution of marketing materials.
- Aid the Home Video and TV teams in developing VOD artwork, trailers, and supplementary assets like Blu-ray/DVD designs.
- Prepare and distribute materials for TV, digital, out-of-home, radio, and print initiatives.
- Handle trailer classifications and coordinate with exhibition partners on placements and customized campaigns.
- Provide administrative support including meeting scheduling, invoice handling, and general coordination.
Qualifications
- Preferably 1+ years in entertainment marketing, though not required.
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in a relevant discipline.
- Proficiency in MS Office, Google Suite, and Zoom; Photoshop knowledge is advantageous but optional.
- Familiarity with social platforms including Instagram, X, Facebook, TikTok, Pinterest, and Reddit.
- Passion for cinema and narrative storytelling essential.
- Keen awareness of contemporary events, trends, films, television, and popular culture.
- Reliable, proactive, and capable of independent work.
- Detail-focused with effective, diplomatic communication across all organizational levels.
- Able to thrive in a high-pressure, fast-paced setting.
- On-site presence required at least 3 days weekly with flexibility for overtime, including evenings and weekends.
