This role involves converting product innovations into compelling customer value, spearheading messaging, and collaborating with leadership to boost win rates and feature adoption as the sole product marketer reporting to the VP of Marketing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with product teams on launch processes, including prioritizing releases, identifying bundling options, and shaping go-to-market plans for updates and major features.
  • Support go-to-market teams in aligning company movements and communications around new features and customer benefits.
  • Develop and refine the company’s messaging framework to keep positioning focused, unique, and uniform across all customer touchpoints amid product and market changes.
  • Serve as the hub for competitive analysis by creating battle cards, win/loss analysis tools, and sales stories that equip revenue teams to succeed, regularly updating them based on market dynamics.
  • Conduct buyer research and update ideal customer profile documents using insights from sales calls, CRM data, and customer discussions to influence sales approaches.
  • Work closely with sales to validate messaging through real-world testing and rapidly integrate field feedback into positioning strategies.
  • Create training resources that enable customer-facing teams to convey return on investment tied to specific use cases, enhancing their skill in linking product features to tangible business outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Proven ability to craft and adapt messaging frameworks that unite cross-functional groups in dynamic market and product settings.
  • Comfort operating in uncertain environments, having established initiatives independently and handled diverse responsibilities without delay.
  • Deep understanding of sales dynamics, with skills in converting complex product elements into practical customer benefits.
  • Strong teamwork and resourcefulness, excelling in swift execution, transparent communication, and partnerships across roles from executives to account executives.
  • 7-10 years of product marketing experience, preferably in B2B software as a service.
  • Knowledge of the construction sector is highly advantageous.
  • Track record of developing product marketing operations in rapidly expanding companies.
  • Innate ability to build consensus via insightful ideas rather than authority, fostering collaborative environments.
  • Proficiency with tools like Salesforce, Gong, Pylon, Beamer, and data analytics platforms.
  • Outstanding narrative skills, emphasizing simplicity and tying stories to results rather than specifications.
  • Ease in engaging with technical product groups while simplifying intricate features into straightforward business advantages.
