Trail of Bits seeks a Technical Marketing Manager to lead day-to-day marketing for AppSec, AI/ML Security, and Research & Engineering practices, transforming technical research into targeted campaigns and content that resonate with security communities.
Key Responsibilities
- Track engineering releases, papers, and talks to ensure comprehensive coverage through blog posts, social threads, newsletters, and case studies.
- Own content calendar and production workflows in coordination with Technical Editing.
- Manage social channels (X, LinkedIn, Bluesky) including audience growth and engagement.
- Oversee conference presence: pre-event promotion, speaker briefings, on-site coordination, and post-event follow-up.
- Design and execute multi-channel demand-generation campaigns that drive pipeline.
- Build dashboards and reporting that connect marketing activity to sourced and influenced revenue.
- Gather competitive and market intelligence to inform positioning for AppSec, AI/ML Security, and R&E services.
Qualifications
- Direct marketing experience within AppSec, AI/ML Security, or Research & Engineering.
- Active engagement on X, LinkedIn, or Bluesky within security communities.
- Proven technical writing for security audiences (blogs, vulnerability research, tool docs).
- History of running measurable demand-generation campaigns at a security or developer-tools company.
- Hands-on social media ownership with demonstrated audience growth in security contexts.
- Technical fluency with GitHub, markdown, and AI tools such as Claude Code.
- Experience setting up marketing attribution and pipeline dashboards.
- Hands-on HubSpot or similar marketing automation in B2B security or dev-tools settings.
- Use of AI tools to accelerate security content production and campaign execution.
