Key Responsibilities
- Build strong relationships with journalists across national and consumer press in the UK.
- Act as the primary contact for media requests, representing the company articulately in alignment with its values.
- Develop and execute an organic social media strategy to disseminate news and brand messages to a growing audience.
- Generate and pitch creative stories to traditional media outlets.
- Manage digital PR initiatives to enhance search rankings and visibility on large language models.
- Track and analyze press coverage and social media performance.
- Engage with customers to promote case studies via traditional and social channels.
- Produce high-quality communications materials, such as press releases and quotes, from inception to finalization.
- Maintain a consistent, positive brand image across all outputs.
- Handle additional related tasks as needed.
Qualifications
- 3+ years in PR and social media within a high-growth setting, either agency-side with relevant clients or in-house at a startup; or 3+ years journalism in personal finance.
- Strong storytelling ability with innovative approaches to messaging.
- Genuine interest and expertise in fintech and personal finance.
- Passion for integrating traditional and social media to amplify stories.
- Proactive, self-driven, and highly organized.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for cross-team collaboration and media relations.
- Strategic mindset focused on broader implications.
- Superior communication, writing, and presentation abilities, plus skill in analyzing data to craft narratives.
