Reporting to the Director of Link Building, this position involves strategic oversight, campaign execution, and cross-team collaboration to achieve superior results.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement impactful link-building strategies, overseeing outreach, partnerships, and overall campaign excellence
- Direct advanced campaigns in areas such as guest posting, niche edits, local sponsorships, digital PR, citations, and authority link acquisition
- Create and manage monthly plans for landing pages and anchor texts to align with client priorities, promote natural diversity, support rankings, refine based on data, and balance growth metrics
- Perform competitor backlink audits to uncover opportunities, guide initiatives, and sustain market edge
- Verify that all link placements adhere to rigorous quality criteria
- Foster enduring connections with publishers, site owners, and journalists through compelling outreach messaging and partnership development
- Evaluate campaign performance for quality, uniformity, and effectiveness
- Partner with content, SEO, and account teams to integrate link-building with overarching marketing and client objectives
Qualifications
- At least three years in SEO, emphasizing link building and off-site tactics
- Proven track record in scaling outreach efforts
- In-depth knowledge of backlink evaluation, anchor text planning, and Google algorithms
- Expertise in tools including Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, GA4, and Google Search Console
- Excellent writing abilities for outreach and networking
- Strong organizational skills for handling concurrent campaigns
- Preferably experienced in agency settings
