Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement high-impact link-building strategies, including outreach, partnerships, and quality control.

  • Perform competitor backlink analysis to uncover opportunities, guide campaigns, and sustain competitive edges.

  • Foster and nurture relationships with publishers, site owners, and journalists.
  • Create compelling outreach messages to boost responses and engagement.
  • Build enduring partnerships for ongoing link generation.
  • Guide and mentor Link Building Specialists, review campaigns for quality and performance, and aid in team onboarding and training.
  • Work collaboratively with content, SEO, and account teams to integrate link-building with overall marketing and client objectives.

Qualifications

  • 4 to 6 years in SEO, emphasizing link building and off-site tactics.
  • Proven track record in scaling outreach campaigns.
  • Deep knowledge of backlink quality, anchor text strategies, and Google’s ranking algorithms.
  • Expertise in tools like Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, GA4, and Google Search Console; familiarity with Pitchbox or Buzzstream is advantageous.
  • Prior experience in mentoring or leading junior staff.
  • Excellent written communication for outreach and relationship management.
  • Strong organizational skills to handle multiple campaigns concurrently.
  • Agency background preferred.
  • Established connections with journalists are beneficial.
