Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement high-impact link-building strategies, including outreach, partnerships, and quality control.
- Oversee complex campaigns in guest posting, niche edits, local sponsorships, digital PR, citations, and authority link acquisition.
- Perform competitor backlink analysis to uncover opportunities, guide campaigns, and sustain competitive edges.
- Verify that all link placements adhere to quality benchmarks.
- Foster and nurture relationships with publishers, site owners, and journalists.
- Create compelling outreach messages to boost responses and engagement.
- Build enduring partnerships for ongoing link generation.
- Guide and mentor Link Building Specialists, review campaigns for quality and performance, and aid in team onboarding and training.
- Work collaboratively with content, SEO, and account teams to integrate link-building with overall marketing and client objectives.
Qualifications
- 4 to 6 years in SEO, emphasizing link building and off-site tactics.
- Proven track record in scaling outreach campaigns.
- Deep knowledge of backlink quality, anchor text strategies, and Google’s ranking algorithms.
- Expertise in tools like Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, GA4, and Google Search Console; familiarity with Pitchbox or Buzzstream is advantageous.
- Prior experience in mentoring or leading junior staff.
- Excellent written communication for outreach and relationship management.
- Strong organizational skills to handle multiple campaigns concurrently.
- Agency background preferred.
- Established connections with journalists are beneficial.
