Remote full-time contractor role for a Google Ads Strategist focused on managing and scaling paid campaigns for eCommerce clients within a global performance marketing agency.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing and optimising Google Ads campaigns across Search, Shopping, PMax, Display, Demand Gen, and Video
- Owning day-to-day account health including budgets, pacing, performance monitoring, and proactive optimisation
- Building and launching new campaigns, ad groups, and feed-based shopping structures
- Conducting keyword research, search term analysis, and ongoing keyword management
- Developing and executing A/B tests on ad copy, bidding strategies, and audience segments
- Briefing and aligning with visual creators on creative assets
- Preparing insight-led performance reports and contributing to client-facing communications
- Participating in client calls and internal strategy sessions
- Staying current with platform updates and implementing best practices
- Ensuring compliance with Google Ads policies and ad approvals
- Scaling campaigns based on performance data and ROI goals
- Troubleshooting tracking issues and managing tag implementation
- Building and maintaining product data feeds using DataFeedWatch and Google Merchant Center
Qualifications
- 2–4 years of hands-on Google Ads experience in eCommerce, preferably with agency or multi-client exposure
- Strong working knowledge of Search, Shopping, Video/YouTube, Demand Gen, and Performance Max
- Experience managing accounts with meaningful ad spend and treating client budgets responsibly
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret dashboards and drive actionable insights
- Clear, confident written and verbal English communication for client correspondence and calls
- Self-sufficient and proactive in a remote environment
