The Paid Social Manager oversees acquisition and subscription growth for major consumer brands through performance campaigns, primarily on Meta with secondary focus on TikTok. Reporting to the Head of Paid Social, the role combines daily campaign management with shaping creative strategy and implementing structured testing to build scalable acquisition approaches.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, execute and optimise paid social campaigns on Meta as primary channel and TikTok as secondary, targeting subscription and app acquisition for brands including Good Food, Radio Times, BBC Gardeners’ World and BBC History.
  • Manage end-to-end campaign delivery from briefing and launch through daily optimisation, performance monitoring and reporting while controlling budgets to hit acquisition targets.
  • Collaborate with creative, analytics and brand teams to develop creative strategy, design hypotheses and run systematic testing frameworks focused on customer problems and scalable learnings.
  • Brief creative teams on performance assets, iterate rapidly to support high-velocity testing, and explore AI tools to improve creative speed and quality.
  • Design and refine campaign structures optimised for learning and spend efficiency, evaluating structures to ensure meaningful performance signals.
  • Analyse results using platform and third-party tools, translate insights into recommendations, and deliver regular updates and post-campaign analysis to stakeholders.
  • Work with Marketing Managers to align campaigns with commercial objectives and act as the main paid social contact for core brands and ad hoc requests.
  • Share knowledge through training sessions, keep the team updated on platform changes and trends, and support colleagues on campaign delivery and best practice.

Qualifications

  • Proven hands-on experience managing large-scale paid social campaigns on Meta with a strong track record in performance and acquisition.
  • Strong understanding of Meta campaign structure, learning algorithm, audience targeting and optimisation levers.
  • Experience contributing to creative strategy including testing hypotheses, briefing creative assets and using data to identify audience resonance.
  • Skilled at analysing performance data, identifying trends and converting insights into clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, able to present performance to non-specialist audiences.
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple campaigns and priorities concurrently.
  • Desirable: experience with subscription or app acquisition products, TikTok Ads, AI tools for creative testing, and third-party measurement platforms.
