PetLabCo seeks a seasoned PPC Lead for Marketplaces to direct paid media strategies on Amazon and expanding platforms like Walmart and Chewy, driving growth through hands-on campaign management and cross-team collaboration in a dynamic, pet-focused DTC environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own paid media strategy for Amazon and other marketplaces, aligning with category, brand, and revenue goals; build and manage budgets, forecasts, and channel mixes across Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, Sponsored Display, and potentially DSP.
  • Define KPIs such as ROAS, TACoS, NTB%, share of voice, and incrementality, establishing tracking cadences.
  • Plan, launch, and optimize PPC campaigns across the full Amazon catalog, including keyword strategy, bid management, targeting, dayparting, and placements.
  • Execute structured experimentation roadmaps with A/B tests on creative, bidding, targeting, and landing pages, scaling successful learnings.
  • Collaborate with Retail team on listing quality, pricing, promotions, and inventory to enhance paid efficiency.
  • Brief, review, and iterate on paid creative including Sponsored Brands video, Stores, A+ content, and DSP display, partnering with Creative team and applying performance insights to testing.
  • Develop and maintain reporting to highlight investment performance, gaps, and recommendations; deliver weekly insights to senior leadership, linking marketplace results to broader growth.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with DTC paid media, retention, and brand teams for integrated full-funnel strategies; advocate internally on Amazon for launches, expansions, and category growth.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of relevant experience, with proven ownership of large-scale Amazon Ads budgets in high-growth consumer brands or top-tier agencies.
  • Deep hands-on expertise in Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, and Sponsored Display; strong preference for Amazon DSP proficiency.
  • Proven success in improving key metrics like ROAS, TACoS, profitability, and share of voice beyond basic campaign execution.
  • Experience in briefing and refining creative assets, with a clear perspective on effective marketplace content.
  • Strong skills in performance reporting and analytics; proficiency in Amazon Ads Console, Seller/Vendor Central, and BI tools like Looker or Tableau; SQL is advantageous.
  • Self-starter orientation: capable of strategizing, executing, and influencing without direct reports.
  • Solid commercial acumen, understanding margins, contribution, and paid media’s P&L impact.
  • Exposure to full-funnel and omnichannel strategies, including paid social, paid search, retail media networks (e.g., Walmart Connect, Instacart, Target Roundel), CTV, or affiliate.
