We are seeking a Marketing Project and Operations Manager to expand marketing efforts for a global, diverse product lineup. This position manages the foundational infrastructure of our marketing operations, synchronizes go-to-market strategies with product cycles, oversees request intake and prioritization for numerous products, and enhances productivity via streamlined structures, processes, and decisions. The role collaborates with marketing executives, international teams, and outside collaborators to foster clarity, concentration, and disciplined implementation in a dynamic setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead comprehensive program oversight for major marketing efforts including branding, go-to-market strategies, product launches, campaigns, and agency engagements.
- Develop, deploy, and manage project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, or Smartsheet, ensuring effective usability and team adoption.
- Analyze and document current cross-functional processes involving marketing, product marketing management, design, agencies, and regional groups; pinpoint inefficiencies and refine operations ongoingly.
- Collaborate with marketing executives to create staffing and resource planning frameworks, boost process effectiveness and output, minimize redundant tasks, and aid in sustainable team sizing.
- Develop detailed project plans, schedules, interdependencies, and accountability structures for various initiatives.
- Implement systems to categorize high-priority, secondary, and niche products, directing resources by potential impact over quantity or distractions.
- Serve as a proactive alert mechanism for detecting risks, inconsistencies, and execution challenges prior to escalation.
- Facilitate discussions on priorities and compromises to safeguard strategic objectives and concentration.
- Orchestrate interactions among international teams in the US, China, and other areas, plus external agencies, to maintain transparency, responsibility, and superior delivery standards.
- Standardize go-to-market and launch procedures, including templates and routine operations.
- Produce succinct executive reports, decision documents, and after-action reviews that drive tangible enhancements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from an accredited institution.
- Over five years in program management, PMO, marketing operations, or comparable positions.
- Demonstrated expertise in handling numerous concurrent projects within expansive or varied portfolios, beyond isolated efforts.
- Practical proficiency in configuring and operating tools like Jira, Confluence, or Smartsheet.
- Strong capability to grasp intricate, interdisciplinary processes and convert them into straightforward, expandable frameworks.
- Adept at utilizing data for resource forecasting, task ranking, and operational enhancements.
