The Design Program Manager oversees global design initiatives at TP-Link, ensuring uniformity, excellence, and timely execution by developing streamlined processes, fostering international teamwork, and maintaining design guidelines across various assets and product categories.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and oversee efficient design workflows, covering intake, prioritization, governance, approvals, and delivery protocols to maintain uniform design language and quality across products, platforms, and regions.
- Direct the design portfolio and project scheduling for diverse product lines and efforts, converting strategic visions into detailed action plans, timelines, and roadmaps.
- Coordinate design resource allocation and capacity forecasting alongside design executives, harmonizing team priorities to meet organizational demands without compromising quality.
- Act as the main connector among Design, Product, Engineering, and Marketing teams, enhancing worldwide and inter-regional cooperation for seamless alignment and implementation.
- Handle design software and systems such as Figma, Jira, and Confluence, while supervising budgets, third-party agencies, and vendor partnerships as required.
- Enhance transparency in design projects via reports, dashboards, and performance indicators, delivering executives actionable updates on advancements, challenges, interdependencies, and overall status.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
- Fluent proficiency in Mandarin and English, both verbally and in writing.
- At least eight years in design program management, operations, or similar fields.
- Deep knowledge of full-cycle product development, especially in integrated hardware-software settings.
- Demonstrated expertise in creating processes and thriving in dynamic, uncertain, high-speed environments.
- Superior abilities in interdepartmental communication and managing stakeholder relationships.
- Background collaborating with international teams; additional Mandarin capabilities advantageous.
