The Contract Programme Manager leads digital engineering initiatives within a cross-functional Agile team, overseeing program delivery for enterprise-grade applications targeted at prominent brands, while fostering skill development and project impact in the consumer market.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee outputs from multiple Scrum and digital delivery teams
- Develop and manage overall roadmaps and project plans for various program teams, supporting teams and clients in execution
- Ensure cohesive delivery across multiple teams and projects to achieve program objectives
- Promote and mentor Agile and project management practices among Scrum Masters and Digital Project Managers
- Collaborate with stakeholders and Product Owners to enhance communication, implement feedback mechanisms, and address issues
- Work with Scrum Masters, Project Managers, other program leads, and Product Owners to deploy digital solutions and realize business value
- Monitor and achieve targets in customer satisfaction, quality, and team performance
- Identify and resolve obstacles impeding implementation
- Manage changes and interventions to meet project goals
- Drive performance enhancements and process improvements for optimal productivity
- Handle resource allocation and utilization within assigned programs
- Coordinate with third-party agencies to deliver programs and projects successfully
- Assist account teams and clients in estimating future work efforts at a high level
- Establish and oversee deadlines, budgets, and program activities
- Collaborate on sprint dependencies and requirements with business analysts and Product Owners
- Generate precise status reports, identify risks, and ensure timely project delivery
- Align with and update senior client stakeholders on progress
Qualifications
- Expertise in resource management, leadership, setting objectives, prioritizing tasks, managing dependencies, mitigating risks, and reporting to teams and stakeholders
- Experience managing digital and technology programs and projects
- Background in multi-disciplinary private sector environments, handling high-profile suppliers and stakeholders
- Strong knowledge of project management frameworks, including Agile/Scrum and PRINCE2
- Proven track record delivering large-scale, multi-million-pound projects and programs with multiple teams
- Ability to lead diverse teams through direct and matrix management
- In-depth understanding of Agile methods and practices
- Excellent stakeholder management using formal and informal approaches for senior and board-level engagement
- Skills in leading, motivating, and supporting teams
- Proficiency in creating clear, concise reports and proposals with recommendations
- Effective communication with confidence to internal and external stakeholders
- Capability to manage and collaborate with client-specified third-party suppliers for project success
- Understanding of complex technical environments to assess risks and opportunities for internal and client reporting
- Willingness to intervene and assist team activities as needed
