First dedicated MarTech Engineer role focused on building and scaling the automation, data, and attribution systems that connect marketing activities to revenue outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design scalable, event-driven multi-channel journeys driven by behavioral signals, lifecycle changes, and custom object data
  • Build and maintain lifecycle automation frameworks aligned with Sales processes, SLAs, routing logic, and forecasting
  • Develop complex multi-step workflows with conditional logic, enrichment, AI-driven decisions, branching, and error handling
  • Define automation governance standards to prevent sprawl and maintain scalability
  • Partner with RevOps to align marketing automation with CRM structure and revenue reporting
  • Design and maintain multi-touch attribution models aligned with Finance pipeline and ARR definitions
  • Build closed-loop reporting connecting marketing touchpoints to opportunity creation, progression, and revenue
  • Define and enforce lifecycle stage criteria with explicit data rules
  • Create dashboards tracking funnel velocity, lifecycle conversion, and segment effectiveness
  • Standardize campaign hierarchies, source tracking, and object relationships for accurate reporting
  • Own CRM and marketing automation data schema governance, field normalization, deduplication, and lifecycle auditing
  • Design segmentation frameworks balancing precision targeting with global consent needs
  • Implement automated monitoring for database health, attribution gaps, lifecycle leakage, and routing accuracy
  • Collaborate with Legal and IT to maintain compliance with global privacy regulations including GDPR

Qualifications

  • 2+ years in Marketing Operations or Revenue Operations owning automation architecture and cross-system integrations
  • Proven experience designing complex automation frameworks using conditional logic, enrichment, and cross-platform triggers
  • Hands-on experience building integrations with APIs, webhooks, middleware (Zapier, N8N), and native tools like Operations Hub
  • Strong understanding of CRM data modeling, object relationships, schema design, lifecycle governance, and field standardization
  • Experience implementing multi-touch attribution models and reconciling reporting with Finance and RevOps
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve automation failures, routing conflicts, and data inconsistencies at scale
  • Experience designing lead routing logic tied to segmentation and SLA enforcement
  • Deep understanding of database governance including deduplication, consent management, and data normalization
  • Ability to translate technical system decisions into measurable revenue outcomes
  • Platform experience in one or more leading CRM and marketing automation systems (HubSpot, Salesforce, Marketo, Pardot, or similar)
