Resource Innovations seeks a seasoned Marketing Account Lead for its Chicago-based team to oversee marketing for Midwest residential energy efficiency initiatives, equivalent to a senior agency account executive role focused on client leadership and impactful program delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as primary day-to-day marketing lead for assigned residential utility programs, acting as trusted partner to internal teams and clients.
- Lead status meetings, working sessions, and check-ins to ensure clear communication, alignment, and follow-through.
- Develop understanding of energy efficiency programs, customer segments, and utility objectives; provide insights and recommendations based on data, behavior, and performance.
- Plan and manage integrated marketing initiatives across channels including email, digital media, content, events, outreach materials, and customer communications.
- Translate program goals and client needs into briefs, timelines, and actionable direction for internal teams.
- Manage scopes of work, timelines, budgets, and deliverables using project management tools; track milestones, identify risks, and resolve issues.
- Coordinate development and production of marketing materials with creative, digital, program, and engineering teams; monitor status and quality.
- Assist in compiling, analyzing campaign and event data; prepare reports, summaries, and recommendations for optimization.
- Lead or support planning and execution of events such as webinars, presentations, community events, and meetings, including logistics and on-site/virtual support.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for cohesive marketing efforts; mentor junior members and contribute to team development.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Located in greater Chicagoland, IL area or willing to relocate within 30 days; able to travel locally up to 15% and work from Chicago office periodically.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Digital Media, Digital Marketing, or related field/equivalent experience.
- Minimum 5 years professional experience in marketing, communications, project management, client management, or related fields.
- Agency experience strongly preferred, especially in Senior Account Executive or similar role.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook/Teams, SharePoint/OneDrive).
- Ability to quickly learn new tools including project management, email marketing platforms, and analytics (e.g., Wrike, Campaign Monitor, Google Analytics).
- Strong client management skills, attention to detail, organization, and proactiveness; ability to work independently while managing multiple accounts and projects.
