DISCO, a leading platform for music and media management, is hiring a proactive Head of Marketing with B2B SaaS expertise and in-depth music industry insights to guide a compact team. This position involves directing comprehensive marketing activities from lead generation to customer retention and growth across small, medium, and large enterprise clients, blending strategic oversight with hands-on execution in areas like content creation, funnel optimization, and analytics infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Leverage extensive music industry expertise, targeting supervisors, labels, publishers, managers, promo teams, and artists, to refine positioning and marketing structures for key audience segments.
- Mentor and elevate a compact marketing team in a player-coach capacity, focusing on expanding SMB and mid-market presence in North America and internationally.
- Spearhead effective enterprise-level marketing initiatives to engage large-scale clients.
- Craft and execute marketing plans that support DISCO’s overarching goals, emphasizing demand generation activities.
- Collaborate with Revenue Operations to enhance conversion processes and provide actionable insights to Customer Success, Sales, and leadership.
- Integrate closely with Sales and Customer Success to capture customer insights and convert them into superior positioning, messaging, and campaigns.
- Work alongside Product teams to grasp product capabilities and effectively convey DISCO’s value to varied audiences, promoting activation, engagement, and loyalty.
- Establish and maintain DISCO’s attribution and analytics system to offer transparent performance data on pipeline generation and retention by segment.
- Direct the development of engaging content and campaigns tailored to audiences ranging from individual artists to major enterprises.
- Advance partnership initiatives by identifying and cultivating alliances to increase brand exposure and market penetration.
- Uphold DISCO’s brand identity, coordinating brand initiatives and event oversight.
- Cultivate a network of DISCO advocates through community involvement to boost loyalty, encourage user-generated content, and support retention.
- Oversee external marketing and PR vendors to ensure consistent external messaging and alignment with strategic priorities.
Qualifications
- Comprehensive grasp of the business aspects of the music industry, including labels, publishers, distributors, sync agencies, and rights holders.
- At least 7 years in marketing leadership roles, with substantial B2B SaaS involvement.
- Proven technical proficiency in selecting and deploying marketing technology stacks.
- Knowledge of account-based marketing tools and enterprise sales strategies, encompassing complex multi-decision-maker processes.
- Established success in fostering customer acquisition, retention, and growth.
- Demonstrated ability to formulate and implement effective B2B marketing plans.
