Engine by Starling seeks a Marketing and Partnerships Director to define and lead global marketing strategy during its next growth phase. Reporting to the executive team, the role owns global positioning for the cloud-native banking SaaS platform and directs brand, digital, communications and demand-generation activity across key regions while collaborating closely with commercial and sales leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive global marketing strategy aligned to commercial objectives and long-term growth goals.
  • Evolve brand positioning and mission messaging so Engine becomes the preferred partner for bank transformation programmes.
  • Lead and develop a central marketing operations, brand, digital, content and design team; build and scale regional marketing functions in priority markets.
  • Design and implement joint marketing initiatives with global system integrators, technology alliance partners and consultancies to drive indirect pipeline.
  • Develop partner enablement programmes, toolkits and co-funded account-based campaigns targeting Tier 1 and Tier 2 banks.
  • Own brand standards, corporate communications, PR and thought leadership activities in collaboration with the Starling Group Corporate Affairs team.
  • Manage the digital ecosystem including website SEO, LinkedIn and flagship events; measure performance and ROI across channels.
  • Work with Product, Sales and Executive teams to align marketing activity with product strategy and go-to-market priorities.
  • Engage analysts and key influencers to position Engine as a trusted SaaS technology provider.
  • Manage external agencies and partners to deliver high-quality, scalable output.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years’ experience in senior marketing roles, ideally in B2B SaaS, core banking, digital banking or fintech.
  • Proven track record building and executing partner marketing programmes with GSIs, consulting firms or major cloud providers.
  • Experience leading and scaling marketing teams in fast-growth, international organisations.
  • Demonstrated success delivering global marketing strategies across multiple regions.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing channels and modern marketing operations.
  • Commercially astute with clear evidence of collaboration alongside sales and revenue teams.
  • Confident leader with excellent stakeholder management, communication and storytelling skills.
