Senior leadership position heading the Creative Strategy department for a top UK performance agency group, focused on people leadership, operational excellence, and commercial oversight of a 20+ person team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop four Creative Leads with responsibility for performance management, succession planning, and coaching senior talent into autonomous leaders
  • Own department P&L with EBITDA as primary KPI alongside utilisation tracking, capacity planning, and FTE strategy
  • Design and scale operational processes including workflows, reporting cadences, and production handoffs while maintaining quality control
  • Build and sustain a department culture of ownership, curiosity, and continuous improvement
  • Drive commercial growth through strategic input at senior management level and cross-functional collaboration with Account Management, Production, and Growth teams
  • Support organisational development to enable exponential revenue growth over the next 12-24 months

Qualifications

  • Proven experience leading teams of 20+ people, ideally within an agency or marketing services environment
  • Track record of building leadership benches and coaching senior individual contributors into confident leaders
  • Strong commercial acumen with direct P&L ownership, budget management, and utilisation modelling experience
  • Process-oriented mindset with ability to design and protect complex operating systems at scale
  • Demonstrated success leading teams through organisational change such as restructuring, scaling, or M&A
  • Excellent communication skills with experience delivering feedback, running meetings, and presenting to senior stakeholders
  • AI-literate with understanding of how AI tools impact creative and marketing workflows
