The Growth Marketing Manager will spearhead subscription expansion for TP-Link’s mobile applications, such as Tapo Care, Kasa Care, and HomeShield, by crafting in-app lifecycle strategies to transition free users to paid subscribers via targeted communications, user segmentation, and analytical testing, emphasizing engagement over new user acquisition.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the strategy for converting freemium users to paid subscribers in mobile apps
- Create and implement lifecycle marketing initiatives using in-app messages, push notifications, and emails
- Develop user segmentation based on behaviors, device interactions, and engagement levels
- Refine onboarding processes, upgrade notifications, and paywall content to boost conversion rates
- Conduct experiments to enhance trial activations, conversions, retention, and lifetime value
- Examine user paths to pinpoint and address funnel drop-offs
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and analytics groups to deploy and expand growth efforts
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
- At least 5 years in growth, lifecycle, or mobile app marketing
- Background in freemium or subscription products
- Proven success in turning existing users into paid subscribers
- Experience with mobile apps or digital platforms
- Strong skills in lifecycle marketing, user segmentation, and retention
- Hands-on with in-app messaging, push notifications, and email campaigns
- Ability to drive growth in high-volume user settings
- Cross-functional collaboration with product, engineering, and analytics teams
- Analytical approach using data for decisions
- Preferred: Familiarity with platforms like Braze, Amplitude, Mixpanel, Firebase, Iterable, or Customer.io
- Preferred: Expertise in A/B testing and experimentation
