The Growth Marketing Manager for SaaS Company (US-Based, Remote) role is a hands-on builder position focused on creating marketing systems from the ground up. This individual will own conversion optimization, upsell sequences, retention programs, and email infrastructure to improve key SaaS metrics such as visitor-to-signup rate, paid upgrades, and churn.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a continuous A/B testing program on landing pages, paywall, pricing, signup flow, and checkout with design and engineering partners
- Identify friction points using heatmaps, session recordings, and funnel analytics to prioritize and maintain a revenue-focused test backlog
- Own pre-conversion KPIs including visitor-to-signup rate, signup-to-paid conversion, paywall conversion, and checkout completion
- Build and optimize five behavioral email sequences targeting specific user signals such as ghost signups, unused credits, and approaching limits
- Configure trigger logic in the ESP and direct or write copy while running ongoing A/B tests on subject lines, angles, timing, and CTAs
- Own upgrade conversion rate as a primary KPI
- Develop a 0-to-100 user Satisfaction Score combining usage, feature engagement, survey response, and login behavior
- Define four retention segments and route them into distinct email sequences while deploying NPS and feedback surveys
- Own monthly churn rate and retention KPIs
- Lead ESP selection, domain authentication, event tracking pipeline scoping, template library creation, list hygiene, and performance dashboard build
- Provide strategic input on acquisition email sequence structure but do not own the broadcast calendar or paid list
Qualifications
- 4 to 6 years in lifecycle, retention, or marketing automation ideally in SaaS, consumer tech, or subscription environments
- Hands-on experience configuring complex trigger logic in a modern behavioral ESP such as Klaviyo or Customer.io
- Direct experience running hypothesis-driven CRO programs including statistical rigor and collaboration with design and engineering
- Strong understanding of event-based trigger architecture and how to specify events for engineering
- Ability to both write on-brand copy and configure behavioral logic
- Track record of improving conversion, retention, or upgrade rates via measurable programs
- Comfort with data-driven decision making including segment definition and performance report analysis
- Experience integrating NPS or satisfaction surveys into marketing workflows
