Resource Innovations seeks a Market Engagement Representative in Indiana to serve as a primary liaison for contractors and partners, fostering relationships and boosting involvement in utility-backed energy efficiency initiatives through outreach and support.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform outreach to educate and aid contractors in lighting, HVAC, and similar fields to participate effectively in Indiana Michigan Power’s energy efficiency programs.
- Build, maintain, and enhance partnerships with contractors.
- Create and implement strategies for recruiting new contractors and retaining existing ones.
- Present training on sales and program benefits to highlight incentive values for contractors.
- Assist contractors in spotting eligible projects and related incentives.
- Facilitate contractors with application processes, submissions, and follow-ups.
- Respond to inquiries about programs.
- Train and guide contractors on adopting new software tools.
- Aid Program Managers in developing, monitoring, analyzing, and overseeing energy efficiency projects.
- Review and refine program documents and reports for clarity, accuracy, and professional formatting.
Qualifications
- Associate degree or at least five years in a relevant industry.
- Minimum two years in areas like sales, account management, marketing, business operations, customer support, or project coordination.
- Possess a valid U.S. driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle for site visits.
- Capable of local travel, mainly in northern Indiana.
- Able to work remotely from home when not conducting fieldwork.
- Preferred experience in construction, HVAC, mechanical systems, building controls, utility demand-side management, energy efficiency, or similar building fields.
- Demonstrate self-motivation and initiative in a professional setting.
- Exhibit approachable confidence in forming trust-based relationships, pitching ideas across organizational levels, and handling concurrent time-sensitive tasks.
- Proficient in crafting and presenting formal sessions.
- Based in or prepared to move to central or northern Indiana.
