Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and refine video ad scripts and voiceovers, including hooks, key messages, and content for rapid testing and optimization.
  • Generate new copy variations, angles, and test concepts based on performance data insights.
  • Create and polish copy for direct-response channels such as paid social ads, landing pages, and email/SMS to ensure campaign alignment and effectiveness.
  • Facilitate messaging experiments by prioritizing concepts, monitoring results, and documenting insights.
  • Incorporate customer feedback, reviews, and objections to shape innovative messaging strategies.
  • Collaborate with digital designers and video editors to align copy with creative production and testing objectives.
  • Propose fresh ad ideas and creative approaches informed by industry trends, competitors, and successful tactics.
  • Maintain organized records of copy performance to enable reuse and further development of proven messaging.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in marketing, advertising, communications, or related field.
  • 1–3+ years in copywriting, performance marketing, or creative strategy, including internships or freelance experience.
  • Proficiency in direct-response copy for paid ads, landing pages, email, and SMS.
  • Knowledge of performance marketing platforms like Meta, YouTube, and CTV, and the role of creative elements in outcomes.
  • Hands-on experience with creative testing, such as hooks, headlines, and angles, plus performance analysis.
  • Familiarity with creative production processes and collaboration with designers, editors, or creators preferred.
  • Background in startups, DTC, or e-commerce environments or keen interest therein preferred.
  • Strong intuition for direct-response creative with a hands-on approach to writing and iteration.
  • Analytical skills to derive actionable insights from performance metrics.
