Hands-on Head of Marketing role at a growing UK industrial business, reporting to the MD. The position owns the full marketing function with emphasis on driving measurable pipeline growth, brand development, and customer acquisition in a lean, autonomous environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute marketing strategy focused on pipeline growth and customer acquisition.
- Own HubSpot marketing operations including lifecycle stages, segmentation, automation, reporting and dashboards.
- Generate high-quality marketing-qualified leads across short and long sales cycles.
- Improve marketing-to-sales alignment, lead quality and hand-off processes.
- Plan and execute exhibitions, trade events and product launches with commercial follow-up.
- Manage external agencies and suppliers to drive performance and ROI.
- Own marketing collateral including literature, presentations, case studies, email campaigns and sales enablement.
- Maintain consistent brand experience across all customer touchpoints.
- Manage website performance, CRO and digital customer journey improvements.
- Control marketing budget allocation, channel performance and investment decisions.
- Provide reporting on marketing contribution to business growth.
Qualifications
- Proven senior B2B marketing experience within industrial, manufacturing, engineering or technical product sectors.
- Demonstrable success building pipeline and generating measurable commercial outcomes.
- Strong hands-on HubSpot expertise covering CRM marketing, automation, segmentation, reporting and lead management.
- Experience in lean, fast-moving businesses requiring autonomy and accountability.
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
- Strong understanding of customer journeys, proposition development, sales enablement and conversion-focused marketing.
- Experience managing agencies, suppliers, budgets and marketing performance metrics.
- Excellent stakeholder management and senior leadership influence skills.
