Digital Catapult requires an Events Manager on an eight-month fixed-term contract within its Marcomms team to plan and deliver a programme of physical, virtual and hybrid events for the Bridge/Frontier initiative. Reporting to the Head of Events, the role focuses on aligning events with strategic objectives, managing logistics, content, and stakeholder experience, while embedding strong operational delivery and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Bridge/Frontier programme team to shape and deliver a portfolio of events that achieve strategic goals and enhance overall success
  • Execute events ensuring content and logistics align with objectives, resolve on-site issues, and escalate to the Head of Events when required
  • Coordinate daily operations including room setup, delegate registration, speaker liaison, catering, AV, event materials, client relations, and feedback capture
  • Ensure all hosted or co-hosted events serve the Bridge/Frontier audience, objectives, and deliver measurable value
  • Manage catering budgets, supplier coordination, staffing rotas, and on-the-day responsibilities

Qualifications

  • Proven experience delivering both physical and virtual events with high operational standards
  • Strategic yet hands-on approach, agile mindset, and commitment to quality service delivery
  • Strong understanding of event content and integrated event design
  • Proven project management capability with ability to handle multiple projects and tight deadlines
  • Excellent stakeholder management, organisational, and communication skills with strong attention to detail
  • Willingness to work flexibly, including early mornings or late evenings
  • Degree-level education in events management or equivalent experience; knowledge of DDA compliance and health & safety is advantageous
