Own and scale the Events & Community function from the ground up at a fast-growing healthtech company. Drive a three-pillar strategy across large-scale branded activations, local community pop-ups, and strategic brand partnerships to generate measurable subscriber acquisition and high-quality content that fuels digital channels.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute a barbell events strategy spanning 1,000+ attendee immersive activations and high-frequency micro pop-ups across priority DMAs
- Manage full event lifecycle including vendor relations, permitting, logistics, on-site testing operations, compliance, and post-event teardown
- Build and manage a distributed Community Lead program with sourcing, onboarding, incentives, and performance tracking across target metros
- Source, negotiate, and activate brand partnerships and sports-marketing deals that drive both subscriber growth and brand credibility
- Ensure every IRL touchpoint produces photo, video, and UGC assets that feed paid and organic social channels
- Develop operational playbooks, activation kits, merch assets, and storage solutions while owning the function P&L
- Hire and lead the Events & Community team while acting as the connective tissue between IRL activations and digital marketing
Qualifications
- 7+ years in experiential marketing, events, community, or brand partnerships at a high-growth consumer, wellness, or DTC brand
- Demonstrated success building an events or community program from scrappy startup stage to scaled, repeatable operations
- Proven track record of driving measurable subscriber acquisition and CAC improvement through IRL channels
- Experience recruiting, managing, and incentivizing a distributed team of community managers or brand ambassadors
- Background negotiating and activating partnerships with sports properties, wellness brands, or cultural platforms
- Strong creative instinct for turning events into content that performs on Meta, TikTok, and YouTube
- Deep familiarity with wellness, endurance, fitness, and run-club communities and cultural moments
- Exceptional project-management and logistics skills with comfort operating under fluid budgets and fast-moving startup conditions
- Willingness to travel 1–2 weeks per month
