The Email + SMS Strategist serves as a key team member managing client relationships, developing and executing email and SMS strategies, supervising campaign builds and reporting, and collaborating across teams to enhance customer lifecycles for eCommerce brands.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the main liaison and account manager for designated clients
- Oversee the full email production lifecycle, from concept to design, building, segmentation, scheduling, and launch
- Support logic development for email and SMS campaigns and automations
- Direct email and SMS strategies encompassing segmentation, audience expansion, A/B testing, and more
- Conduct and assess routine email performance reports with insightful analysis and action plans
- Collaborate with creative teams to spot trends, exchange insights, and propose innovative tactics
- Coordinate projects involving new email triggers, transactional messages, and initiatives
- Keep abreast of email and SMS industry trends and suggest cutting-edge methods to meet objectives
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Minimum 2 years in email marketing
- At least 1 year managing email and SMS accounts with strategic input
- Practical knowledge of Klaviyo, Postscript, or Attentive platforms
- Proficiency in segmenting email and SMS audiences
- Background in client relationship management
- Experience creating marketing materials and partnering with creative and e-commerce groups
- Strong communication and analytical abilities
- Proactive approach to problem-solving with meticulous attention to detail and precise task execution
- Strategic thinking, independence, and adaptability in dynamic, team-oriented settings
- Superior interpersonal skills and effective cross-functional collaboration
