The Full Stack Engineer position at Sans involves developing software for enhancing customer interactions and streamlining internal operations within a dynamic consumer hardware startup focused on health products. Responsibilities include working on a Shopify Hydrogen-based storefront, Next.js applications, and AI-driven tools, collaborating with key leaders to drive product innovation and technical strategy in a hands-on environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and enhance the headless storefront using Shopify Hydrogen and React Router, emphasizing conversion rates, performance, and streamlined purchasing processes
• Develop a specialized commerce interface to support the forthcoming mobile app and ensure fluid integration between web and mobile platforms
• Design and implement AI-driven customer features, such as interactive product recommendation systems tailored to user homes, needs, and settings
• Create systems to process customer feedback from support tickets, reviews, and social media, transforming it into actionable insights for team use
• Build internal tools and AI-enhanced workflows to boost efficiency in operations, customer service, and growth initiatives
• Oversee and grow integrations with ecommerce tools like Klaviyo, Attentive, and Gorgias, managing APIs, webhooks, and data pipelines
• Collaborate with Digital, Creative, and CX leadership to convert business requirements into functional software solutions
• Influence technical roadmap and leverage contemporary tools, including AI for development, to accelerate building and operations

Qualifications

• 4-7 years of professional software engineering experience in developing and deploying production-level applications
• Proficiency in React and TypeScript, serving as core technologies for most projects
• Familiarity with Shopify ecosystem, including Storefront and Admin APIs; preference for hands-on experience with Hydrogen or headless setups
• Expertise in Next.js for both internal applications and user-facing platforms
• Background in API and webhook integrations with services like Klaviyo, Attentive, or Gorgias
• Regular incorporation of AI coding assistants like Claude Code, Cursor, or Copilot in production environments
• Preferred: Production experience with AI/ML features involving embeddings, vector databases, or retrieval mechanisms
• Preferred: Involvement in DTC ecommerce or consumer brands
• Preferred: Mobile development skills with React Native or equivalent
• Preferred: Knowledge of infrastructure and deployment on Vercel, Shopify Oxygen, or Docker
• Self-motivated with ability to work independently without extensive guidance
• Effective communicator across engineering, creative, marketing, and customer experience teams
