The Marketplace Manager leads daily operations for third-party eCommerce channels, optimizing listings, order management, fulfillment, and performance to enhance customer satisfaction and business outcomes. Reporting to the Head of eCommerce, the position initially targets platforms like Reverb, eBay, and Amazon Seller Central, while supporting strategic evaluation and integration of new marketplaces to broaden multichannel presence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee operational efficiency of third-party marketplace channels including Reverb, eBay, and Amazon Seller Central
  • Maintain precise product listings, pricing, content, and inventory levels
  • Ensure adherence to marketplace policies and service standards
  • Streamline workflows through automation and process enhancements
  • Analyze channel metrics and deliver performance reports to eCommerce leadership
  • Collaborate with account managers to pursue revenue opportunities
  • Manage Amazon Seller Central (third-party) alongside Vendor Central (first-party) sales
  • Facilitate seamless direct-to-consumer order processing and fulfillment
  • Partner with operations and customer support to address issues and elevate service levels
  • Identify and resolve customer journey obstacles with operational solutions
  • Assess potential new marketplaces and recommend expansions
  • Coordinate setup of additional channels, including integrations, listings, and procedures
  • Create scalable processes and documentation for ongoing growth
  • Align with marketing, operations, direct-to-consumer, and support teams for consistent product information across channels
  • Assist finance in handling fees, reporting, and reconciliations
  • Support demand forecasting and fulfillment optimization with marketing and operations

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated expertise in online marketplace operations such as Amazon, eBay, Reverb, Walmart, Mercado Libre, or TMall
  • Proficiency in third-party Amazon selling combined with first-party experience
  • Solid knowledge of direct-to-consumer eCommerce, fulfillment procedures, and digital sales
  • Analytical abilities to evaluate data and inform strategic choices
  • Strong organizational and project management capabilities
  • Prior involvement in deploying new platforms, tools, or sales channels advantageous
