Senior Full Stack Developer w/a Sense of Humor at Shinesty, Remote in Brazil

Shinesty is seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer to maintain stability in their current headless ecommerce site, offer technical expertise during the migration to a Shopify theme-based platform, and drive post-migration enhancements to support business growth and experimentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance the existing headless site for stability, performance, and reliability over the next 3-4 months, including bug fixes, improvements to funnel pages, and support for business updates.
• Collaborate with the agency on the site rebuild by providing technical guidance, reviewing deliverables, and participating in essential sessions without heavy project management.
• Post-migration, develop and iterate on Shopify theme features, enable A/B testing, and ensure maintainable integrations to boost conversion rates and average order value.
• Handle frontend development with React/Next.js to optimize user experiences and meet performance standards.
• Manage backend tasks including APIs, serverless functions, and debugging across services.
• Integrate third-party tools for subscriptions, search, analytics, and marketing while ensuring data reliability.
• Optimize performance and conversion through bottleneck resolution and hypothesis-driven changes in partnership with the Digital Product Manager.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of professional JavaScript experience, with TypeScript preferred.
• 3+ years in React and/or Next.js.
• Strong skills in building and consuming REST APIs, with GraphQL as a bonus.
• Ecommerce background, preferably with Shopify.
• Proficient debugging across frontend and backend.
• Excellent English communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in ambiguous environments and deliver quickly without complete specifications.
• Shopify theme development knowledge (Liquid, architecture, best practices) is advantageous.
• Serverless experience like AWS Lambda.
• Implementation of analytics and tracking (GA4/GTM, Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel).
• Prior work with agencies on PR reviews and launch preparations.
• Responsible use of AI coding tools such as Claude Code or Cursor.
