Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and direct the UI/UX vision and strategy for the company’s website and digital channels.
  • Enhance brand image via superior design, delivering a unified and premium experience across all online interactions.
  • Develop, update, and refine design systems and UX guidelines to maintain consistency and scalability.
  • Guide the creation of user interfaces for critical e-commerce paths to increase engagement, conversions, and brand resonance.
  • Oversee and coach UI/UX designers to produce high-quality, expandable work.
  • Foster a cohesive design framework and UX protocols throughout digital platforms.
  • Collaborate with Growth, Product, Marketing, and Engineering to synchronize design with core business goals.
  • Inform design choices using user insights, data analysis, and testing methods like CRO and A/B experiments.
  • Supervise partnerships with remote design and development teams for seamless execution.
  • Optimize design workflows, processes, and inter-team interactions.
  • Stay current on emerging UI trends, methods, and tools.

Qualifications

  • Mandarin Chinese fluency is mandatory.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Art or equivalent field.
  • More than 5 years in UI/UX design, including 1-2 years in leadership or senior positions.
  • Substantial background in e-commerce or direct-to-consumer brands, with Shopify experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in crafting effective digital user experiences.
  • Expertise in tools like Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, and Figma.
  • Knowledge of foundational front-end technologies: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript.
  • Strong visual design abilities attuned to user-interface dynamics.
  • Creative and efficient problem-solving capabilities.
  • Superior communication to engage with diverse stakeholders.
