The Client Strategy Director in GAIN’s Customer Science team oversees client relationships, delivering strategic analytical and operational support to drive business growth through personalized marketing experiences, balancing client value with profitability.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage commercial aspects of client relationships, including profitability monitoring, retention targets of at least 85%, and support for pitches and new leads
• Build and nurture senior-level client contacts, align services with client goals, document responsibilities, and proactively recommend strategies to achieve objectives
• Resolve client issues assertively and lead communications to maintain satisfaction
• Provide line management for Client Managers and Executives, including development objectives, regular check-ins, and support for progression
• Oversee daily delivery of client services, produce insight and analysis presentations, brief internal teams, and present recommendations at senior client meetings

Qualifications

• Over 10 years in client-side marketing, ecommerce, or CRM roles, preferably in multi-channel retail
• Expertise in marketing strategy and CRM, with experience in direct response campaign strategy, execution, and measurement across online and offline channels
• Proficient in board-level presentations and stakeholder relationship building
• Detail-oriented with strong data interpretation skills for commercial decisions and financial evaluations
• Effective multi-tasker capable of prioritizing and planning to manage client satisfaction profitably
