BKF seeks a Strategic Pursuits Lead to drive winning strategies for large-scale water infrastructure and resilience projects, positioning the firm as a preferred prime consultant in sustainability and multi-benefit solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain market intelligence on BKF’s capabilities, competitors, partners, and clients in the water sector.
  • Create and execute strategic pursuit plans for major projects and assigned proposals and interviews.
  • Analyze market trends, client needs, and competitive dynamics to shape pursuit approaches.
  • Build relationships with key teaming partners and maintain pursuit data in Vantagepoint.
  • Compile competitor proposal libraries and best-practice examples to refine firm strategies.
  • Implement feedback from debriefs and QA/QC reviews to drive continuous improvement.
  • Mentor junior staff on pursuit and proposal best practices.
  • Apply the firm’s Pursuit to Win process; perform go/no-go assessments and advise senior leadership.
  • Review RFPs to identify requirements, risks, and compliance needs including DBE participation.
  • Manage proposal efforts from kickoff through submission, leading teams and strategy presentations.
  • Develop interview plans, materials, and preparation; conduct QA/QC of all deliverables.
  • Maintain the water market marketing database of projects, photos, resumes, and graphics.
  • Coordinate acquisition of high-impact visuals and collateral for pursuits.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years as Senior Marketing Coordinator/Specialist or in Business Development, leading prime proposals for water resources projects.
  • Strong knowledge of water, stormwater, and wastewater project types and scopes.
  • Demonstrated commitment to water sustainability, environmental stewardship, and climate resilience.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills; proven team collaboration and priority management.
  • Expertise with proposal management software, Adobe InDesign, and related tools.
  • Proven success winning proposals in the water market sector.
  • Proficiency with SF330 and non-standard submittals, DBE compliance, and federal forms.
  • Ability to travel between offices as needed.
