OUAI requires a temporary Lead Copywriter to guide the brand’s voice across diverse channels, aiding the creative and marketing teams during a maternity leave, with a focus on comprehensive storytelling for products and global initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the stewardship and execution of OUAI’s global brand voice, including campaign copy creation
  • Act as the primary copy specialist for developing content across product, marketing, and brand touchpoints worldwide
  • Manage core areas such as product descriptions for PDPs and retailers, launch copy, campaign materials, PR items, OOH and print assets, in-store visuals, event copy, and select social content
  • Ensure adherence to brand guidelines and serve as the guardian of the brand’s tone and identity
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, digital, and sales to align messaging for campaigns and product introductions, delivering unified copy resources
  • Oversee global master copy files and lead asset management to keep materials current and shared with internal and external partners
  • Produce engaging presentations for stakeholders, retailer discussions, and internal reviews to highlight narrative and voice
  • Sustain brand consistency in retail settings through research, analysis, and optimized storytelling
  • Partner closely with the digital team to craft copy for various online channels, enhancing campaigns to boost engagement and conversions

Qualifications

  • Background in consumer goods, beauty, or similar sectors, with a portfolio of relevant work
  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field preferred
  • At least 8 years of professional experience
  • Proactive initiator, effective communicator, inventive writer with strong grammar skills and enthusiasm for narrative consistency
  • Skilled in developing copy for product packaging, descriptions, and multi-channel brand marketing
  • Knowledgeable in content creation across marketing platforms and industry dynamics
  • Capable of converting business goals into captivating consumer messages
  • Proven ability to conceptualize and oversee projects from inception to completion
  • Team-oriented collaborator with a positive attitude, receptive to input and focused on solutions
  • Strategic and imaginative mindset, eager to innovate and introduce novel concepts
  • Proficient in tools like Asana, Slack, and Figma
