The Trade Marketing Analyst position focuses on synchronizing trade marketing efforts through data analytics to spot strategic opportunities, refine sales strategies, and enhance sales volume and profit margins in targeted regions. This hybrid role demands up to 20% travel across California, Texas, Arizona, Illinois, and New York.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate, develop, and execute strategies for category, trade, and shopper programs in designated areas
  • Generate insights for departments and categories to optimize promotion share, distribution, and shelving
  • Assess growth potential by category and propose new business avenues
  • Review and gauge campaign performance, suggesting strategic adjustments
  • Prepare and present detailed category analyses, implementing initiatives alongside stakeholders like revenue management, category management, and field sales
  • Deploy trade marketing plans, monitor budgets, report outcomes, and advise stakeholders
  • Handle additional tasks as required

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or equivalent, plus 2-3 years in trade marketing, brand management, or similar
  • Preferred: One year in broker or sales analyst roles; bilingual in English and Spanish; experience managing P&L; SQL, Access, or similar database skills; consumer packaged goods background
  • Proficiency in category management processes; familiarity with SAP, BW Analyzer, and High Jump
  • Knowledge of consumption databases like Nielsen; strong business acumen, financial skills, and analytics for trade management planning and evaluation
  • Capability to recommend solutions from data analysis, even with incomplete information
  • Excellent communication across organizational levels, including verbal and written presentations
  • Advanced problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel for data analysis, pivot tables, and charts
  • Skill in fostering professional ties and collaboration in matrix structures
